Mr. Dong was elected Vice Chairman of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) at its inaugural congress in Beijing.

At the initiation of Mr. Dong, the 7th World Congress of Chinese Medicine (WCCM) was successfully held on 1-2 October 2011 in The Hague, The Netherlands. This congress is the most influential of all WCCM congresses.

PEFOTS and TCM associations from South America held a conference on 22-24 July 2005 to forge cooperation between the two continents on TCM. Undersecretary Cecilia Villavicencio (center) of the Chilean Ministry of Health met with presidents of TCM associations from Europe and South America.

TCM Legislation Forum, initiated by Mr. Dong, was held on 29 April 2003 in London.

With the help of the Association of TCM in the Netherlands, The Hague Municipal Government and the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) organized the “International Forum on TCM Development and Registration” in Shanghai on 3 June 2010. More than 750 delegates, including Chinese and Dutch government officials, TCM experts and TCM company executives attended the forum.

Overseas Chinese TCM practitioners from various European countries met with officials from China State Administration of TCM to discuss the development of TCM in Europe.
